As transportation routes improved in the early to mid-20th century, the north shore of Lac Ste. Anne began attracting seasonal residents seeking lakeside retreats. Families from Edmonton and surrounding communities established summer cottages and recreational properties along the shoreline, laying the foundation for what would later become the Summer Village of Yellowstone.
