Tips for Reducing Waste

Reduce by buying only what you need, using reusable shopping bags, composting where possible, and avoiding products with excessive packaging.

Reuse by shopping second-hand, consigning, or re-selling items before throwing them away.

Recycle whenever possible and separate materials for re-use, recycling, and compost before disposal.

Examine Your Buying & Disposal Habits

  • Do you choose durable goods over disposables?
  • Do you bring your own reusable bags and carry a reusable mug with you?
  • Do you separate materials for re-use, recycle, and compost?
